Services for Faculty

What We Offer

Writing Assistance for Faculty--It's a Go!

The UWC and the Vice President for Research are proud to offer convenient grant and proposal writing assistance as well as editing for faculty in all disciplines and at all stages of drafting, writing, and research. Because of their backgrounds in publishing and copy editing, UWC Writing Fellows Jacob Bender and Britta Ameel provide unique resources for faculty looking to bolster a proposal or publication or simply strengthen a sentence or two.

This service is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so please plan ahead, especially near common grant and publication deadlines. At this time, Jacob and Britta are available twenty and ten hours a week respectively for face-to-face or online appointments. The UWC requests that faculty email uwc@utah.edu with specific requests. Please understand that more detailed projects may not be immediately accommodated, should the Writing Fellows already be booked with other faculty members.

For additional information, contact Sundy Watanabe (Director) or Jonathan Balzotti (Associate Director)
